Gone back to a disco 1.

Hi guys

as much as i enjoyed my disco 2 td5 auto e.s. 03 plate i realised i needed some money to buy more tools and stuff for my new garage and the only way i can do it was to sell my disco 2, so the other day i sold my disco 2 and today i bought a 1998 R reg disco 1 300tdi auto g.s. a big come down i know but needs must, it has a full set of b f goodrige tyres on it 12 months m o t and 12 months tax, the s/h landy lealer is replacing both quater light rubbers and replacing the rear door window rubber all due to splitting in several places, they are also giving it a full service inc new timing belt and serp belt, a steam clean and waxoiling it also has full service history and it has had 3 owners with 103000 on the clock, the disco 1 i used to have before the disco 2 was mint and this one is even better and i pick it up next thursday and it can't come quick enough

lag the underside with old sump oil and lift the rear carpets to check the floor etc...you have to check it its a must.....

thanks bob i have lifted the rear carpet and it is mint and do plan to paint all the chassis as soon as i can.

had a phone call from the dealer today saying it is ready to collect tomorrow afternoon as it is having a full valet in the morning, so when i get it i will post up some pics.

got one of these myself the other week,just changing stereo and speakers,but good motor all the same,i wasnt sure about the auto box..just about put everyone threw the windscreen a few times,makes you feel a right arse ..
