Bought Hawkeye from 4x4 store at Kestrel Way, Sowton Ind. Est., Exeter. Now the light dosen't come on straight away but I get a strange rumbling/grinding noise from off side front immediately after starting up and as soon as this noise stops the ACE lamp comes on amber.

Just been searching threads regarding misfires and read about waste gate arm moving when engine reved. how much movement should I see.

Sounds like same problem I had with both fobs. Now got new BCU and fobs working ok.

I've just bought a Hawkeye (£231+vat) (no nanocoms in stock anywhere)as they say update 4 (march 2010) can deal with ACE but waiting for their Tech support to email me unlock code on monday.

Just a quick question as my ace light had been coming on amber intermittently but now seems to be on most of the time. When switching on the ignition it goes red then amber then off and then comes back on to amber even before I start the engine. Now to the question . would I be right in thinking...

Please can anyone confirm whether or not a HAWKEYE can communicate with TD5 BCU (fault finding and learning fobs etc.) and also with ACE as I have an intermittent ACE amber light problem. Thanks in advance

As said it pulls from about 1400 revs but also gets harsh just above 3000 revs so realy have very small rev range to drive with.

Have had my Disco manual TD5 ( 100k on clock) for just over a month now and am amazed at the lack of pulling power under 1400 revs. If I'm on the flat it will slowly pick up but any incline at all means changing down. Being this is the only 1 I've driven I was wondering if this is normal, if not...

Just an update to let you know that Disco has been to an independent Land Rover specialist who changed the BCU (body control unit). This seems to have cured my problems. I now have a brand new receiver which I think I will keep untill inevitably the sunroof starts to leak. Thanks for all the...

Yes it would be nice to see a pisyure of the Rover 75 key fob fitted onto the disco 2 fob pcb and key blade as refurb kits are readily available for Rover 75. dont think Rover 75 has led on it but I'm not worried if I cant see a led if I can save a good deal of cash by buying a refurb kit...

Does anyone know where I can get new cases (refurb kit) for disco 2 keyfobs. I have tried several sellers of other remote kits on e-bay but cant seem to find any for this model.

Just read a thread about same problem with a 300. Seems to have cured problem by removing and replacing aerial connection on alarm ecu behind glove box. Does anyone know if alarm ecu is in same place on disco 2 so I can try this.

Will have to give it another go tomorrow. I've now put old receiver back in place and put roof lining back. One thing I did notice was that receiver is held in place with duck tape but looks as tjough it should be bolted in place as its got an earth plate on one of the mounting holes. So when...

Just tried 5 lock button presses with both remote fobs and still no joy.

Tried disconnecting battery with old and new receivers but cant seem to get into re-sync mode. Is it same process as for 300 tdi or different.

First of all intermittently and now permanently both fobs will not unlock,lock or de imobilise the vehicle. Both fobs have new batteries and i have even bought a new receiver and fitted it, still no good. Tried all the lock/unlock and pressing buttons and also the re-sync with ignition,door lock...
