Just a quick question as my ace light had been coming on amber intermittently but now seems to be on most of the time. When switching on the ignition it goes red then amber then off and then comes back on to amber even before I start the engine. Now to the question . would I be right in thinking its probably the Transducer givin a dodgy reading as the engine isn't running so no pressure from pump even? Thanks in advance.

Get a nanocom on it and you'll find the definite answer - otherwise, it is hard to be sure.

Maybe someone around near you?
David
I've just bought a Hawkeye (£231+vat) (no nanocoms in stock anywhere)as they say update 4 (march 2010) can deal with ACE but waiting for their Tech support to email me unlock code on monday.

I had the same problem once.......nothing shown by testbook....it was a contact failure in the engine compartment fuse box.....check out all pins and contacts which are related to ACE......use the electric scheme from RAVE..................(just if you'll have no fault indicated by tester)

Pressure transducers are known to fail & give out of bounds pressure signals which will shut down the system, had exactly the same problem with mine, faultmate diagnosed out of bounds readings, replaced sensor & now all OK...

Bought Hawkeye from 4x4 store at Kestrel Way, Sowton Ind. Est., Exeter. Now the light dosen't come on straight away but I get a strange rumbling/grinding noise from off side front immediately after starting up and as soon as this noise stops the ACE lamp comes on amber.
