disco 2 keyfob

Does anyone know where I can get new cases (refurb kit) for disco 2 keyfobs. I have tried several sellers of other remote kits on e-bay but cant seem to find any for this model.

Try on ebay for Rover 75 remotes or keyfob, as they are the same. There is no LR logo on the open button but only the Rover one.
I have it on my Disco 2 and I think you can also use the electronics to be coded for your car. They are not only shells for sale.

only late D2's are the same, with "lightening strike" keys.
I had this prob-buy a P38 rubber button set, chop it up & glue them in, worked fine for me...otherwise if its an early standard type key, its the whole thing for £70.You just swop the innards over & get it cut.

My Disco is '99 and the Rover 75 remote shell fits like a glove over the inner circuits. Can post a picture if someone is interested.

yeh please-my prob was i couldnt the the key out of the shell

Yes it would be nice to see a pisyure of the Rover 75 key fob fitted onto the disco 2 fob pcb and key blade as refurb kits are readily available for Rover 75. dont think Rover 75 has led on it but I'm not worried if I cant see a led if I can save a good deal of cash by buying a refurb kit instead of a new complete fob.

This is how it looks now, I just pulled the blade out with a pair of pliers.


I think that also the shell of a suspension remote can be used.
