    How exactly would you determine if no1 piston is at tdc on its compression stroke if the timing belt was off, if you just had it at tdc and set the belt up wouldn't the timing potentially be 180 degrees out? Thanks

    While pressing in the bronze bush with a 20 tonne press the bush still protrudes around 2-3mm out of the axle. Is this normal or must it be perfectly on the shoulder of the axle. The press can't put it in any further. Thanks

    I can't find a non britpart swivel housing rebuild kit nor a wheel bearing kit that includes a lockwasher for a 1990 def 90. I only don't want to use britpart due to what I've heard of it. Does anyone know where I can find them ? Also is it worth doing the stub axle seal and bearing as well. Thanks

    I want to prepare a new stub axle before removing the old one, does the tapered end of the bronze bush go in facing the stub axle or facing the swivel housing? Thanks

    Would a 1990 def 90 only have a top swivel bush with no bush or race where the bottom pin would sit. I can't find a rebuild kit that includes a bottom pin, bush and bearing. Thanks

    I hope mines got a cross drilled gear now! Interesting to see it can potentially do 252k... Anyone aware if input gears on the transfer get the same problem if no cross drilling was done?

    Just curious as to how long I should expect mine to last. Its done 166000 miles, its never been rebuilt. 2nd gear a tad stiff but double clutching sorts it and it goes in like butter. How common are worn input shaft splines and 5th gear bearings. Thanks

    Pin drop sound...

    Bit of closure. Finally found out what was making the sound. Turned out it was the brake pedal, pressing it really sets the sound off, just coincided with doing the tappets. Have to have a look at that now...
