Engine Out

What exactly do I have to do to remove a 12j engine and can it be accomplished by one person and an engine hoist? Is it hard realigning splines? Thanks

Yeah I took mine out on my own, just be methodical and undo everything.
I broke it down into systems and removed all of that system before moving on to another, eg disconnect all the air filter stuff, then the exhaust then fuel, water, power steering, electricals etc then I did all the bits in the cab - floor plates etc.

There will always be something you miss so go up slowly and double check.

Waaay easier with the rad and front slam panel out.

Refitting was a bit harder and I needed a mate to help get it lined up. One of those balancer things helps so you can tip the engine forwards and backwards

Did mine on my own too. Lift it out gently checking every few inches for snags or missed connections
