I can't find a non britpart swivel housing rebuild kit nor a wheel bearing kit that includes a lockwasher for a 1990 def 90. I only don't want to use britpart due to what I've heard of it. Does anyone know where I can find them ? Also is it worth doing the stub axle seal and bearing as well. Thanks

In the past I've just bought the parts separately to get timkin bearings.

Not that much to buy, though there may well be some sellers that have lots

Otherwise you can try putting g on the end of the kit code... Again....not tried that

You will need to make it up - or call paddocks/craddocks and tell them you want a kit, but will not accept it if you see a single BP box or bag unless it's marked G at the end of the part no. Even then I don't like even to support Britpart.

I've used britpart kit for front wheel bearings and swivels. If you get the kits with g at the end you get timken bearings and oem seals. If you want part numbers pm me and I will find them. Cheers

Rather than a 'kit' I tend to buy the bits I need by part number so I get more control over the branding. Paddocks tends to supply a lot of Britpart own-brand stuff by default but LR direct usually offers a choice of brands where available so it's easy to avoid Britpart. While you're at it, it might be worth ordering replacement bolts by part number so you can renew them ll at the same time, plus gaskets etc. as they're only pennies and it's good to know everything is nice and tight with new gaskets and fastenings.

As has been said before, Britpart is a wholesaler, so in fact they supply a lot of OEM and even Land Rover branded stuff too. It's their cheap'n'cheerful own-brand stuff where the tolerances are a bit approximate and the reliability is disappointing.

Even Britpart can't get the lock washer wrong, surely?
