just thought id pass this little tip on , morrisons dish washer rinse aid is brill in windscreen washer bottle plus cheap as chips

It'll have a high surface tension ingredient. Not so sure about long term use. Rot the wiper rubbers?

I've used Halfraud's ready mixed (the minus 8 degrees one) for several years, both winter & summer. Nice smell too.

Never understood buying ready mixed. You're paying for water, which is readily available free from the tap. Also the extra bulk to store. Buy concentrated and you can store a small bottle in the toolkit to top up if you need it.

True, but then you have the faff of working out (or more likely guessing) the required percentage of concentrate each time the wash tank is topped up & as the it holds around 6 litres I can top up at home.
I don't wish to sound smug, but if I can afford to run a V8 (on the proper fuel) then the marginal extra cost of the 'water' is not a problem

I wouldn't do that. The stuff is probably full of salt, like washing up liquid, which many people also use. You can usually spot them because the salty stuff has rusted their windscreen surrounds!

Never occurred to me it was an issue, I just put a capful of concentrate in, and fill up with water. Never had a problem doing this.
And I can afford to run a v8, and two other vehicles, and several tractors, but not particularly looking to waste money? And I don't like more containers sitting round, and having to be disposed of.

i cant afford to run a v8 so i just thought this little tip may help others , trust me its cheep and its good , ps i dont own morrisons either

How much is rinse aid and how much is screen wash? Wouldn't expect either to be dear but only one would go in my washer bottle.

never mind the price try something new it may just suprise you
But you posted it's cheap as chips. So is screen wash and it's designed for wait for it....washing screens. Rise aid isn't. Therefore the thing designed for washing screens, screen wash, is the best thing to use. Funny that.
