Front Screen Wash Pump

Hi

I have a 90 2.5TD with a PRC5765 screen wash bottle fitted. The front screen pump stopped working, so need to replace it. I have looked up parts on LR Workshop but when I’ve found them on line they don’t match what I’ve got ( photos attached ) seems to be just a grommet RTC5828 and the pump ADU6693L which doesn’t seem to have a thread like mine.

Is it just a case of getting the new grommet and pump or do I keep looking for a pump to fit the grommet I have. Apologies if it’s a dumb question but just finished a night shift and spent way to long retrieving the threaded part of grommet from the washer bottle

That’s not threaded… it’s fins to make a better seal on the grommet
The old type were just plain push fit

^^ As above it is not actually threaded. A new grommet and pump is all that is needed.

Must be the season.... mine has likewise gone tits up, could hear the pump working but no water squirting, I have removed the dash top to check tubes not trapped all seems good. Pump then became intermittent when trying and now not working at all, fuse is good and water flows from the pump outlet if the tube is disconnected. Does this sound like the pump needs replacing or anything else? thanks. Incidentally Defender TD5 2000.

I got new pump and fitted it, nothing! Swapped wiring over from back pump and it works. Tried old pump and yes it works too. So must be a fault in front washer wiring somewhere.

Could be a bad earth or switch, can you test to see if you get 12v > to the front pump wire with a multimeter
