Pulled up in Tesco carpark to get last bits n bobs for me mum,
pulled on handbrake and its all sloppy joe comes right the way up and
landy is still rolling backwards.

Stick it in gear run in tescos come back out, let handbrake off handbrake light still on, but can drive with no problems, handbrake gator off unclipped sensor so bloody light goes off.

Get home, drop rear prop off, handbrake drum off, fooking cable snapped!
inside the drum.

Is there anywhere open on Xmas eve to get a new one...... Nope!

Rant Over.

handbrake?? what do you want to use that for? they only brake and then you've got to repair it when the mot is due.

Agreed not really needed much.
But nice to have when parking on hills etc.

But why do things like this always happen when you cant get what ya need?

Sods Law int it

Sam

You NEED a handbrake if you try any extreme offroading or indeed trials anyone that tells you different has never done it

youre lucky it was a handbrake cable..... for road use its basically a redundant part...... front axle bust on mine ... prop is going round but no drive.... got inch of ice on the lanes and carparks round here... will take it apart on monday or tuesday but i doubt ill be able to get any bits till after new year
