I was stupid enough to briefly own a Hilman Imp, them Viva's was quallity compared to an Imp

I had a Hilman Avenger 1.5 GT twin head lights so thats better than them thingys you said!

Was brilliant at bump starting it  and finding parts from the scarp yard was an interesting experiance!

Do you still get parts from the scrap yard like you used to in the old days..

Cars stacked 4 high and you needed a bit of the top one...

or has health and safty stopped it all now?
Was great fun trying not to knock them orf and balancing with ya spanner and hammer in ya hand whilst doing a crazy balancing act... :D all to save £5 quid....

Yes they still exist, one just down the road from me in fact. The car's on top you can't get to, the cars underneath are no good because the 3 on top have crushed the **** out of them!

The Shogun/Pajero is not a bad car if you just want a reasonably reliable generic 4 wheel drive but parts aren`t cheap. I`ve had Japanese 4x4`s and they are okay but I`ve never cared about them as much as I care for my LandRovers, and they never inspired as much confidence in tricky terrain either.
Having said that I have thought seriously recently about buying a Delica - an L series MPV body on a Shogun LWB chassis , not the nicest looking vehicle but from what I`ve heard very competent all the same.
