L322 TD6 2006 "Vehicle Raising Slowly" despite new compressor ftted.

Hi all. As the title says. I had a vehicle raising slowly issue so fitted a brand new Dunlop compressor. Still having same problem? 322's new to me always had P38's that I got to know well! Is there a water drain on the receiver? Any clues you guys? Cheers.

Compressor feeing a leak? No water drain but as with the P38, there is a dryer and also as with the P38 the desiccant can break up and cause problems.

Thanks for your swift reply. I cannot hear any leaks. Car doesn't lower. I bought a compressor assy. with driers etc. Are there others in the system? Thanks.

There's only the dryer mounted on the compressor. Did the "brand new" pump come with the dryer ?

If not, it's fairly easy to take the dryer off & open it up. The dessicant should be just beads with no loose powder or big damp lumps.

No water drain, because the system is supposed to absorb moisture when the pump is running, and then expel the moisture from the beads when the exhaust opens.

Was there any diagnosis of the original concern or was it assumed 'it'll be the compressor'?
Did you change the 70A relay that powers the compressor?
Did you notice any white residue in the outlet pipe from the compressor?

Thank you. Yes it all came as a complete unit. mainly to make it easier to change. No white residue in the pipes. Compressor came with a new 70amp relay which I fitted. Diagnostic basically said problem with compressor. I was unable to hold my finger over the outlet of the new compressor when running. I suppose I have a blockage somewhere though?

More likely a leak.

There's normally an exhaust valve next to the compressor. Check if air is escaping when the compressor is running.
