Disco 2 key issues best option.

Hi all my mate lost the key to my 03 td5 disco so I got a quote for a couple of new keys from the local Landy dealer $1280 for 2 keys programed to the car. So... Would my best option be to buy a nanocom and a couple of keys from eBay. Or is there a better option.

Hi, Don't know your currency but how much would a nanocom be? Easy to program keys with one and you'd have it for many other uses. Can also sell it if you leave Land Rover.

About £680ish, so sounds like a Nanocom would be well worth it.

Did you lose your only key? If you have even one key there's nothing special about a basic key for a DII. It's only the keyless entry handsets that require programming of the BCU to recognize them.
