would you expect the engine to put up if the becm and engine ecu needed a resync?

i'm only asking cos some dumbass, who shall remain unamed, lost the scrap of paper i wrote it on.:doh::doh:

p1692 or/and p1667 seem to ring a bell.

anyway met up with dave (davox) today to see if we could do anything about his car bieng deaders, seems like it needs a resync.
probably has the codes above when i managed to get em out with the elm327.

i wrote em on a scrap of paper and gave em to him, he'll prolly be along soon to confirm the codes he has!!!

or he might just be too embarrassed:D:D

not in post i sitting looking at it, i will post it in the morn, not found engine all want two much for them, i got disco for now.

P1667 is Anti-Theft Alarm serial link fault Drive cycle A:Signal out of range - below minimum. and the P1692 is Main relay fault. Short circuit to V Batt.

If this is of any use.

kind of, as stated the codes were wrote down but the paper lost so really i'm guessing,

bieng as those codes sound power/alarm related it could be the cause of the issue??

I know nothing about fixing but I'd be inclinded to replace the main relay or at least check it for obvious faults like corrosion etc., then re-charge battery. As if this is draining the battery then it would pull everything else down with it.

Just a thought.

No,it was well after production had ended, the first decent upgrade didnt get off the ground as the supplier went bust, took a while for the current YWY500170 to get sorted and come online - does the trick tho...

it was ok for ages then went, i think it could be the 80 ah battery not upto job but not sure, till its fixed it wont run at all. i know someone has disabled the eka code.

gav if this battery is not up to it it will all be a waste of time, i agree with rf is the problem, i have sent him resync box to get him going.
