As the original poster of the the thread that alerted this forum to the offer on the defender2 forum, I have to say I wish this had gone better, I read BBS posts on both forums and naively never picked up on the spam theory.:(:confused::eek:

encouraged by his promise of support and his(at that time) apparent honesty to praise what he described as a competitors product sold me on the evo as the best choice. Then within a few days ( after I purchased the unit) his veiled comments about something coming up made me look at the bbs web site and and I realised he had taken over, within a few days when it became public on all the forums BBS's promise of good things and extended support only served to confirm what a good choice I had made. Then the tone of the bbs post changed as the picture became clearer, the outlook became much gloomier. would I have bought when I did, without BBs input I would have to say "NO".

I now regret my first post and wish it had been removed as spam as it was threatened with, then I guess all of this would not have concerned this forum, well except for the legacy support for the earlier Nanocom units.

to this end I do harbour regrets at how this has been handled and do feel sorry if any members got involved from my input.

That said if what has been said and support via nanocom eg bug fixes and the promised support is completed as said I would be satisfied, I was just worried that I was conned into buying a pup.. Time will tell where we all stand with nanocom.

Pssssst. This isn't your thread. This is a different one.;):p

think they are to busy promoting there poor public relation skills, to answer your question matey. Is your the v1. if so i think they won't bother lol. All jokes aside i hope you get what your in need of as this thread seems to have gone alittle off topic, althou all be it with good cause. I myself have no use for a nanocom or bbs, however for those who do, i should imagine its alittle worrying to say the least

Just been reading this thread and its somewhat off topic.

Why dont all with a Nanocom tool just email Nanocom support and ask a question abvout what service is being offered etc?

Surely that would solve all problems and once an answer is given then I would not suggest it is openly posted, but the recipient should post on here confirming they have had a reply and suggest others do the same thing.

The hope was that BBS GUY would come along and issue an official statement along the lines of support for existing and new nanocom users, but instead of a simple post that would be zero.

BBS GUY was rude to someone with an issue and only comes on here to flog his gear-look at his posts and the frequency of his posts.

Nobody ever said the gear he sells is crap, in actual fact good reports-but **** poor public relations and greed are showing.

If BBS GUY never posts again it is no loss to the forum and if he does post I sincerely hope it isn't in the spam selling style as before-or he is paying for the privilege.

Sure, in one last attempt, i will clarify the situation for existing owners of Nanocom evolutions for what it is worth in the face of such outright and devout skepticism.

Existing owners bought a system with capabilities at a price which has proved unsustainable.
Your support capabilities originally consisted of an un-guaranteed possibility to send an E-mail to [email protected] and hope for a response that due to overwhelming day to day responsibilities, Mattia, the guy behind Nanocom rarely got to do.

Our reaching out to save this product and taking on so many aspects of the manufacture and supply of the Nanocom evolution has relieved the situation and now anyone emailing [email protected] can expect a reply from either a member of BBS staff or Mattia as applicable, which is certainly an improvement for existing owners. They can also expect much more in the way of releases of bug fixed / updated software now too.

In addition to doing this we have also set up an additional technical support forum on our BBS owners only forum, which, granted, is made accessible only to buyers of nanocoms from BBS, but this really is an above and beyond additional support capability that was never available or offered to existing nanocom buyers at all when they purchased their systems.

No matter which way you slice it, i firmly believe that existing or future owners on the NANOCOM EVOLUTION have good reason to be very happy with this most recent news. but then it seems everyone is entitled to their opinion on this board and what do i know !!!

I really do intend this to be the very last comment i will make on this board on this subject.

Warmest regards to all

Colin

He's not coming back

The only question I would like answering if I were a Nanocom existing user (Hawkeye myself) is "Does BBS intend to provide support for existing - purchased from Nanocom - units Yes or No?

No argument, no aggression, just a simple answer would be all I seek.

The support security and clarification is restored, And to boot you have had a donation from me, you have helped Nominet out with a domain issue while poking arround probabally looking for arguments to pick and to fault others. Is it not time for a sleep ?
Just like to have a look at who is on here, did you put your donation through as an advertising expense?.

A good question of which it seems ill have to take legal advice on, as it seems my recipt in paypal says Donate to LandyZone Subscription yet i actually paid

From what I read, and I think I have a good grasp of the English language, BBS Guy is confirming support so all these stupid comments and accusations are not needed and some folk seem to have nothing better to do than "trying to stir the sh*t"

BBS Guy has said he will not comment further so why push this?

Simply, those with a Nanocom that wish the issue of support should email them and ask!!

wow...true this has turned into a real thread Hijack...but having got there what do we now find, no help as yet for the original thread post, ace bug, then complaints about BBS's handling of the situation regarding support, you as supplier and possible UK partner defending the comments saying BBS GUY is a man of his word and would do the right thing, that's good news at last, But his comments on Defender2...I will abandon Nanocom and you can all feck offt...tells of his feeling on this really. I thank you for your information about continued support on the Nanocom.it web site...its all I really wanted anyway. just with BBS himself making such sweeping comments it does undermine your voracity. now with the above post it looks like you are questioning the whole Landyzone forum. Is this a tit for tat thing if we don't support your new masters then threaten the forum?...It comes across as a shut up or else type of statement which I am sure it cant be. was that the intent?

I think that answers the Q for Nanocom Evolution customers - are there other types of Nanocom?

Its not about tit for tat, its answering the question that fanatic posted directly to me about how i would account for my money sent to this forum as if i were going to account for it wrongly.

fanatic asked me the question of which it seems he wants truthfull answers which ive given, im not the one here asking for answers and making it hard for forum readers he is.

And so you are aware im not questioning the whole LZ forum i personally dont care what the money is spent on, i gave it because i beleive its worth it. This is down to fanatic asking me how i explaine and account for my payment made towards it, just as with his comments on my Nameserver for my web domain. These also as you mention seem to be shut up or else type of statement of which are not needed from him.

To clarify, i posted here to help its members, i also posted here as i know what the support structure is for nanocom and to again help its members, i didn post here to be one sided towards bbs or the forum, and i didnt post here in a thread i know nothing about or just to advertise my services and be called a spammer and i sure as hell didnt post here to receive replys from its members stating things like how i will account for my donation made to the forum or that my names server was set wrong.

Ive done nothing wrong here and all i have had is question and what i beleive are mind game threts from a member of which these are not needed. I have nothing to hide nor have done anything wrong so i answer all the questions put to me by him.

I have no interest in one man crusades.
I have no interest in how Bellautos accounts for his donation.

There is only one significant issue here and that is the support or not of Nanocom devices by the new owner.
The situation seems to be made worse by the new owners making statements which are not specific and, in some cases, confusing, rude and marginally threatening.

Having said that, they are under no obligation to do so, but it is not helping their reputation or prospective sales, by being so parochial.

At last back on track to the important things which is why i posted here in the first place, this threads original topic and nanocom support.

As i said in a previous post the nanocom old and new will be supported from the nanocom web site, of course what we all need to try at least and unserstand is that some users have had problems before the take over so we need to give time for the new owners to get settled in and try to sort things out.

I as it has become obvious and not from my own doing that i sell products from the new owners, and for this reason ive been able to have direct contact with them possibily a lot easer than most could have had.
And the contact ive had trusted on here or not is that all users will get support the best the new owners can give it.

Again regarding issues users have got with their cars on tool that were purchased NOT from the new owners, of course they will look into trying to fix what was already a present fault in the tool or software and will give updates out for free to nanocom owners via the resereved area of the nanocom web site. and at the same time owners can also use the support email address provided on that site for direct questions.

I accept what you are saying, and hope that you are correct but, with all respect, you are not the new owners and anything you state, does not mean Jack, as you have no legal responsibility for what does or doesnt happen.

The best outcome here would be if Mattia or BBS acknowledged the OP's problem and gave some undertaking that they would, at least, look into the problem. If they give no such undertaking, then how can any Nanocom purchaser have any confidence in the product?

As an aside - where did the OP get their Nanocom from? Is there a prospective "not fit for purpose" issue here that the OP can take up with the retailer?

I have to say fanatics post was a surprise and didn't help...the comment about the donation I took a an ironic dig, as you have a conflict of interest, we know you are a BBS outlet and that must lead to a suspicion of spam, whether true or not. As a customer of a nanocomevo for less than a month I did feel let down by the BBS support issues that were made. The increased support was a carrot, it wasn't expected, but when apparently offered only served to increase expectations. only to see it dashed, a simple yes it will be supported would have seen me happy, didn't need empty promises of better to come. or what ifs and told how I should feel grateful that anything is being offered. I purchased in good faith, I don't think its unreasonable that this good faith be returned, after all you and BBS guys posts were a big influence in my decision. As both of you are on the Defender2 forum when the Nanocom offer was made A simple warning of possible issues could have been made, but nothing until after from BBS SPY to say the supplier wouldn't be able to meet the demand because he would not supply him the units.. That was a strange way to do business and reflects the attitude which has prevailed during the whole issue, leading to the outcry of foul, and the large number of posts, most from reasonable members with no axe to grind. the only ones to benefit will be hawkeye sales.
