wish I could type faster...as these are coming so thick and fast I cant keep up....BAS will "who ever" be looking into this problem as it must effect all evo's...see back on track

Pete
I accept what you are saying, and hope that you are correct but, with all respect, you are not the new owners and anything you state, does not mean Jack, as you have no legal responsibility for what does or doesnt happen.

The best outcome here would be if Mattia or BBS acknowledged the OP's problem and gave some undertaking that they would, at least, look into the problem. If they give no such undertaking, then how can any Nanocom purchaser have any confidence in the product?

I appreciate those comments a really do and i fully understand them.

Re Mattia or BBS posting here to settle minds, from the thread i dont think it will happen, as a forum member i can only advise that OP tries to use the email support and hope to recive answer.

Yes im told that any faults, bugs, spelling mistakes etc etc will be looked at for all users even if that user for the nanocom from a non bbs supplier.

Just to add and clarify, ignoring business stock.

I to personally have a very very early nanocom of which i upgraded my self the cyrstal and a new EVO of which im interested in getting support and updates for so i do know what you are all feeling 2x.

Hello Mattia,

I am having a serious problem with the Ace software module.

This is the story what happened:

I got the amber warning light after starting, so I took out my nanocom and read the logged fault codes: direction valve 2 circuit failure. Bought a new coil and fitted it, nothing changed, still the same code after clearing. Tested the valves in the output test mode and they worked! Strange. Used the input mode and saw some strange figures concerning the pressure sensor, 200 bar with the engine off! Disconnected the sensor and now I got the direction valve 1 circuit failure, so I scratched my head. Fitted a new sensor and everything worked fine again. Recalibrated both acc. sensors and everything still worked fine.
And now the part I should not have done: after using the set calibrated and set tested function the amber light came on, main relay switched of and all output test functions did not function anymore! The amber light goes directly on if you switch on the ignition.

So I took a spare ace ecu, did the same as above : same story!!!!!

Found this on the site from black Box Solutions:

New/Used: This identifies if the ECU is new (Virgin State) or used. Before a new ECU can be used the main relay have to be energized, then it has to have the lateral accelerometers calibrated, which can be done using the 'SELF CALIBRATE' function found in 'OTHER' section. It also must pass all 5 'RESPONSE TIME' tests also found in the 'OTHER' section. Until these functions are performed, the ECU as an internal feature will not function correctly and will keep the fault lamp illuminated. Once this has been done this value will change from saying 'NEW to say 'USED' and the ECU will function properly. At the end of the tests, return the main relay to normal.

I think my ecu's went back in the virgin state! Can you have a look into this?

Regards Gerhard

PS The nanocom ( USB version) was used standalone and has firmware 2.05

Finally got some reaction :

Ace thread.
Have you actually sent an e-mail reference ACE to [email protected] ?

I have one of my technical team looking into all aspects of the ACE on Nanocom and would love to hook you up via the proper support proceedure.

Regards

Colin

Pete I have no issue's with you, infact BBS could learn a lot from you in good public relations.

Would I buy something from you-simple answer is yes

Would I buy something from Colin-not a fecking chance in hell as he has **** poor customer service skills, behaves like an egotistical and money grabbing pig- his atitude stinks and he has only himself to blame for this public relations disaster.

Colin sat on his gilded throne king of the hill, instead of a reasoned proactive approach.

Hi all, from the other forum as well.

Couple of things, Pete from BBS is a top fella. I do feel sorry for him and his firm being dragged though the mud by BBS on this. As others here have said it could all have been sorted without so much drama.

Hope the OP actually gets some help with his problem.

Here is the thread from the other forum, bbs guy posted a bit more but has lost the plot a bit towards the end.

Seems good news :)

As your in contact with them / him Gerhard and instead of me pinging of another e-mail (which im sure they have hundreds) ask them if there is any plan to continue to add the autobox and SRS to Nanocom 1 as Mattia was going to.

I have just asked him

It goes to show how his brain far excedes most others in the car diagnostic fileld and is far advanced in respect of the diagnostic capabilitys of modern car. And shows us how knowlagable he is in programming and understanding the code on our cars.

And as said at the time which has possibily changed now im not sure, 'It is only illegal to sell a clocked car not to physically do the clocking." I see many adds for people still to this day offering "correction" which i assume is the same thing worded differently.

I have been to the dealer today and hooked up the Testbook system: Yes, the ECU is recognized as a New ( virgin) part. Recalibrating failed becaused testbook stopped the process due to logged faultcodes, but there aren't any stored.

1. There is a bug in Nanocom. DO NOT USE SET CALIBRATED AN SET TESTED!!!!!!!!!

2. My Ecu's are ****ed!

3. Some faultcodes are "mislabeled" in Nanocom

Hope BBS will iron out these problems very soon.
