Vow2B+ Bio diesel Fuel Heater Veg oil SVO WVO Exchanger

Has anyone fitted one of these units?

Why?

Its a heat exchanger for SVO.
Want run disco on veggie oil.

Just mix a bit of diesel with it! Apparently they are unreliable and take a huge current.

So you think that there is no need to warm veggie oil up.
Is your landy diesel?

Not if it's got some diesel in with it to thin it a bit. Yes, it's a diesel.

There is no need to get a heat exchanger. I run my 300tdi on vege oil 50/50 mix with diesel with no problems. If you use rapeseed oil it handles the cold better without emulsifying.

I is running 75% veg / 25% doozil at the mo, wiv no probs.
95p a litre from Lidl.

where can you get rapseed oil from.
I go to costco and buy 20 litres of oil for about £15.
Saving about £11.

supermarkets.

If you are already running on vege oil then you would know that you don't need a heat exchanger.

then I can see about 100L coming on!

I went up to about 80% and found that I was smoking a bit for the first couple of hundred yards after start up so I dropped back down to 50/50. I wanna try a full tank of veg oil with a gallon of petrol in it so I am trying to run my to empty out at the moment.

same here but still on Pura at 56p (last few litres now!) and then need to find a better source!

Its not that its just i have read that you can damage the fuel injector pump if the veggie oil is not thinned down enough

If you are worried why not do a poll to find out how many people on here run on veggie oil and how many use a heat exchanger. You can also see how many have had problems. I think your answer will be none and none.

I think the car would stop running properly before you damaged the injector pump, the Bosch pump on the TDi (i presume you are running a TDi and not a TD5, which i don't think will cope with SVO) copes admirably with the increased viscosity!
