Listen acne infected cock breath, you started this thread asking about a snorkel and sliders..this kind of points towards off road driving...unless you just have high curbs and higher tides where you live. You then went on to say discos and RR are better...as i say, on a thread about off road accessorys..what a ****wit you are...go ahead, buy/make the toys...and leave the playing to the vehicle that can do it.

You have come on this thread an added **** all about what I asked and now your getting all bent out of shape.
It's just making me laugh mate.
I know a freelander is not a Do anything offroader but that's not to say I can't have a laugh giving it a go.
I also know lots of others with bigger and more equipped landrovers will also be laughing at me.
Do I care? no cos I'll be laughing too.

i wouldnt bother with the sliders, side bars give some small help, but not enough to be sliding over ruts and trees.

regarding the snorkel, i would just extend the current breather so it sits higher up in the engine bay, I wouldnt dream about water any higher than the wheels ! i dont think the engine components would survive it :confused:

I thought sliders would protect the doors a bit more?
Your prob right about the snorkel. Just read an old post saying about how unprotected the electrics are.

If your going to do gentle green lanes, will you need a snorkel? You’d be betterer to spend your money on a sump guard to go under the engine, to replace the one land rover supplied. Many others on ere have added a sheet of metal to theirs instead. As for rock sliders, they’re for protecting the sills really. The sill will go first before door damage, if you drop onto something hard. Keep to a slow speed and you don’t get so much “bounce” from the suspension. Off road kit for Freelanders is expensive, as not many buy it.

Perhaps you’d be betterer off going to a pay and play first. Then take it from there. Don’t go out alone off road.

My Freelanders only mods are a sump guard and general grabber tyres. Video’s below.

I just didn't want to get caught out with water. I'll look in to a better sump guard
