transmission query

hi folks
had freelander up on the lift today both front wheels off ground both turn freely but prop doesnt jack up one rear and this cant be turned as it tries to move both props garage say this correct but i dont know ,also one front wheel up and this cant be turned any advice greatly appreciated.

if both front wheel are off the ground both will turn through ird diff oppsite ways ,if you jack one front wheel it will have to turn ird and so rear through vcu,if you jack one rear wheel up it will have to turn vcu it should turn stiffly with a bar on a wheel nut , two rear wheels up both spin, so in effect they are correct

thanks for that mate i got a little concerned when front prop wasnt turning now understand whats happening and know it shouldnt be turning .
