thanks guys, will try the suggestions, but does anyone know what these are called; especially the round thing in the first pic. Is there a seal located underneath?
but I have noticed the oil leaking from that specific location, can I just unbolt it and see what the issue is; I assume I need to drain the tranny oil before I do that?

did check the bolts if they were not loose but they seems quite ok. I would be very happy if the oil only leaked from one place, as I am thinking of the transmission oil cooler pipes ( see first pic). Would undoing those and wrapping the threads with Teflon work?
just found out a few days ago that the LHS transmission cooler pipes are also leaking and chances are that they may become unattached at the crimp.
is it possible to remove that crimped rubber part from the cooler line and replace with an other rubber hose that is held in place with 2 jubilee clips?
