To join the AA ?

I've been with em for about 7 years, never used em until this year, used em 4 times since march! All recoveries, more than paid for itself! Bloody land rovers:D

I presume u got roadside and tow you home but not home start around £80 ish one member just wait until it expires then they will want around £150 ignor that cancel and start again via Internet for £80 stupid but true loyalty stands for nothing with these big company's
 
I collect the Tesco vouchers. For the last two years I've got full RAC membership for me and her (everything except homestart) for about £36 all in by exchanging vouchers. It's not a special reduced service, I just pay Tesco online with the vouchers and then the RAC send me an application form.

yes, i was stuck on the A5 with the belt snapped, had to join at side of road and cost me £154. they said i couldnt have recovery as i was an emergancy xcase and they would only get me to a safe place. when the guy arrived, within 15 minutes, he put the beast on the back, took my post code and went "MMmmmmm".

they give a kind of free recovery service up to 11 or 12 miles. but i was 17 miles from home and took a chance with the driver. he looked at the route and said OK. called the recovery in to the HQ and told them i was only 11.2 miles from home.

very nice man took me to my drive so i bunged him some beer tokens.

they gave me a discount the next day to add recovery for only £15.

and a tip if you dont have home start, get the car just over 1/4 mile away from home and it classes as recovery. :D:D:D

When I worked for the RAC they wouldn't do a proper recovery for the first 24hrs, they'd send a patrol who could do a local tow but that was your lot if you broke down then joined!

I get RAC through bank account and over last 4 yrs used it half a dozen times once full recovery head gasket another full recovery from Manchester to Windsor flexplate disintegration and the others have been flat battery before sorting the RF out so for me you would be mad not to join

Thats what the AA did with me. put a bit more on because i was at the side of the road. but as i said, they would only get me to a safe place, ie the nearest lay-by or service area. then it was up to me to get it collected and taken home. but when he got there he said they can do a certain distance and he would take me home.
 
I pay £37.00 a month for the AA. That includes me, 'er indoors' and the 2 boys (3rd just passed his test so need a quote for him to be included) That's everything covered including onward travel (hotel,car hire, train journey etc,etc) and first £500 of any repair on the P38.

Can't fault the service so far (7 years) and would highly recommend them. I have no affiliation with them just a satisfied customer.
