set of Britpart wheel bearings. Done just over 2k with them. Shocking isn't it lol

Nope, That is all road miles and the front set? which are a different make have been in for a few months longer and are fine.

I have had a wide yoke Britpart prop shaft for the past 2 years fitted and that has been fine to be fair

I think that's due to the mud they got put in with in the bin then later on I decided to take them out and get a pic. They wasn't that colour when they were taken off. I suppose that picture is a bit unfair really lol

I had a look on Google Earth and it is indeed a massive place.

"Britpart operates from a prestigious 55 acre site in Shropshire, which includes all our manufacturing, warehousing and administration."
:p
I thought it was all made on dirt floors in Afghanistan?

they dont make bearings or much really ,they do seat stuff which is ok ,everyone buys from ebay at price ,bp has met this ,you get what you want ,not so long a go their stuff pattern or not was very good ,quality decreed price ,now price decrees quality, tis a shame of the modern dont give a **** world ,on all parties customers and suppliers

Correct JM.

We are in the motor trade and we sell to price.

For instance we are forced to cut corners to meet the expected prices!

It's a crazy way to do things because it ends up costing customers more to fix the little bits that we could/would have done in the first place if we down have to hammer down the screen price so much!

Regard those bearings, my britpart units have done probably 5000 miles on negative offset rims in an off road vehicle, but being 10 spline they are oil washed and I expect them to last a long time!

Well said, it's the same with everything, you get what you pay for.

They did not get that big by selling stuff people did not want to buy. If enough people want cheapness above all else why shouldn't Britpart sell parts to them that meet that requirement? That does not change just because some of us want better quality for the important parts.

look for the "G"
britpart sell pattern parts, and lots of OEM stuff too, if its got a G after the part number its not crap pattern, its OEM stuff, at OEM quality.

This has been said about 20 times in this thread but people will still moan, when they pay £5 a bearing then what do they expect really!!

think i prolly said it once, but yeah, doesnt matter if its britpart, allmakes, bearmach, if its cheap, its cheap for a reason.
OEM all the way for me :)

I have found I have a britpart steering damper- I'm going to check that the guy will warranty it before I fit it as expected bearmach.

on second thoughts if it kills me could someone claim on my behalf

If its a supergaz it'll be fine. You may need to crimp the bush a bit to get it to locate correctly into the steering bar though.
