Just noticed today that my middle brake light was not working, could this bring on my 2 Amigo`s?

Also are the brake lights next to the indicators? I thought they were on the main sides of the car and not on the bumper.

Silly me only noticing this just now.

It was the brake light switch, the second contact inside the switch was pitted and burnt, so much so there was not much of it left. but me being a tight ass just replaced the contact with a blob of solder, and jobs a good un.

Can't see anywhere to click for new thread - but can anyone help with this one.

When i turn my freelander lights on, the middle high level brake light comes on too, why? It then gets marginally brighter when i press the footbrake, this never happened before.

My Fuel gauage reads full when empty and vice versa - tested Ohms output and all correct - are all these things connected or coincedence?? any help welcome.

Sounds like a wiring fault, i.e. earthing somewhere.
As for yr posting try the freelander forum you'll see where to start new thread then. ;)

It's a 2002 Freelander 3dr TD4. If it an earthing fault where is best to start looking. This all seemed to go wrong after i got a new in-tank lift pump put in - mechanic couldn't sort out fuel gauge problem which happened after new pump put in - did try his best though. Got a new set of clocks coming in the post to see if this changes anything.
