whereabouts are you? You may be able to get the eka code read direct from the ecu.

welsh side of seven bridge, I give up on it it`s going to landrovers tomorrow.
it will still be interesting to see what you boys come up with, thanks for anyhelp that I can use in the future.

If it was plugged into a nanocom or similar it will show up the actual EKA code that's programmed into the ECU. If you were a bit closer I would of plugged it in for you.

If it's going into landrovers, ask them to read the number for you in case the one you were given is different to the one on the ecu.

I'm going to guess that the actual fault you have is with the alarm receiver up near the sunroofs.

thanks Ratty, I took the disco back to land-rover they fixed it again after 3days in the garage, brought it home used it for 3days it was OK, left it for 2 days and guess what, yes your right ,cant start the engine immobilizer wont come off , is there a way to do away with it.
And of course like every one else I myself cant get the eka code to work.
it looks like it`s going back to land-rover again.:(

the BCU is going to sleep....
1. did the dealer confirm that the EKA they gave you is actually the one stored in the BCU?... if they didnt ask them to do that
2. ask them to set the BCU's alarm setting to "always disarm with key" mode...cos i think now it's on "never disarm with key"

if steps 1 and 2 will not fix things then see the last 7 characters of the VIN...if your car is from YA260032 to 1A703319 IMO your problem will be solved just with a new BCU.
