Hello,

Wondering if someone can help me! So i have a discovery 2 td5.

I had a leak in the back sunroof which soaked the central locking sensor and would not allow me to take off the immobilser. I have taped that up and it worked fine but one first drive out to the stable yard the car no longer started (after huge down pour). The car will sometimes turn the immobiler off through the fob but then when trying to start the car the lights on the dash come on but nothing happens. I have entered the eka code and same thing happens. After speaking to a guy he thinks its the starter motor for the vechile but i have found another leak which is going through the steering wheel and might be getting the fuses wet (not sure).

Car is in the way at the farm and need to move it but cant, please help anyone? Any help is muchly appricated

Thanks

Hi. When it's not immobiised and you turn ignition to crank do you hear any click from the relay? to rule out the starter remove the starter relay(R2), ignition on 2 and bridge the perpendicular cavities in the fusebox with a piece of wire, if it cranks that way the starter is OK (dont let it in gear off course)... the solenoid's spade connector used to get loose as well

Don't take the car out of the barn if it's raining.
Oh and welcome to the group.
