I'm wondering if someone disabled your Landy while it was parked at your work place so they could return during the night and 'recover' it with no risk of being disturbed. If your work place is away from residential properties, then it is a very strong possibility...especially if you only knew it was broken down when you went to drive it home.Hello there my Defender 110 SW was taken some time between 8pm and 8am from my work in Stow Maries near Chelmsford, Essex.
The scum had angle grinded their way through a chained gate and taken my Landy which was actually broke down awaiting recovery from the AA first thing this morning. So how they took it I don't know, towed it or flatbed truck.
Do you mean weld a plate to the passenger seat base frame so that you have to unbolt the seat to check the battery etc. You could fit bolts with security heads. I would expect them to cut the main battery cable from the battery to the fuse box under the drivers seat.The man from the insurance company came out today to assess the value of the vehicle.

Still, that's more than I've heard from the police.
Though I have heard that you can weld a plate underneath the passenger seat and that means the thieving scum can't cut the wires that come from the battery box. I'm assuming that's what they did to disable it.
