Silence is Golden

Whilst fixing my heater O rings and replacing the heater core temp sensor (to stop the book symbol thanks nanocom). I had the instrument cluster out and took the opportunity to disconnect the beep speaker.
What a pleasure although a little unnerving initialy.

Low screen wash... simple message no silly beep. Same for the key in warning.

Wish I had done it sooner.

That all fine...... until you forget the key and get locked out!! but I hear what you say, it is annoying

I presume your indicators are now silent too

now you mention it I think they are, a small price to pay the little green lights work on the dash though.

a strip of insulating tape across the sounder takes the edge off the noise without losing it altogether.

That could well be the best of both worlds... But I will have a few more days of total silence before I try it . Cheers

Its going to get you for that.....Be sure its cooking something up as i type... stoping a p38 from beeping is not good...not good, no no ...

It will fail MOT with no audible flasher warning.
