Hi, Can anyone help? Came home from work and a note through my letter box, from a lad in the village, he has bought a P Reg, Diesel, Auto, with a spring conversion on it, he problen is; When he puts his foot down to accelerate his box drops a gear (as it should) but then will only let go 35 mph and show this as a message on his dash, this doesnt always happen!!!! So has the conversion been done correctly regarding ECU and sensors any links so he could check it all out.

there is a ecu fooler unit required to tel the becm and other ecus all is well if that is not fitted then you will get this fault

Hi, Could you tell where he could get one of these? Do you know how to fit these? Is it just plug in cable from BeCM to ECU. Can you explain in more detail, i will be printing these replies for him to read, so instructions and checks he could carry out would be helpful.

He should have got one with his conversion kit, where did he get it from
It plugs into the suspension ECU under the seat to stop the message flashing on the dash

You dont have to go to any expence. You just need to make a couple of jumper wires to go to Ecu pins 7 to 18 and 25 to 1.

Now bare in mind this is from memory so its worth checking.

Hi, Thanks for info, so do you the suspension ECU and the jumper wire are (from and too) PINS within that ECU, other replies have mentioned the BeCM. Also the ECU in question were is it located.
