hi all

im thinking of staring a 90 project and need your advice please....

its a 1987 e reg 90 with a 200tdi conversion. done around 110000 miles.
the conversion is nearly complete but the guy whos got it doesnt have the time to finsh it off.

its had the bulkhead top corners replaced and galvanised body cappings fitted, also had new clutch, hd clutch fork, timing belt, 200tdi transfer box.

the rear spring mounts need replacing, he has them, just need fitting.

she looks in good nick, seen pictures of the work.

my question to all you experts on landyzone is, how much should i be looking to part with for it???

:behindsofa:

cheers as always

tony

Knowing wot has been done to it (and buy who) and wot it needs must be more tempting that looking at endless piles of ****e

sorry no idear of price:D

If you know the guy and trust his work/word I'd say £750ish.

I payed £500 for a 110 CSW in rough but okay nick. To get onto the road all it would have needed was a rear xmember, fuel tank and it'll need some electrics (typical landrover rust and electrics lol).

I probably could have paid less but I didn't want to offend the seller and I could probably break it for a profit anyway. :D

Always difficult to tell without seeing it.

How do you know he has repaired the bulkhead properly???

How do you know the conversion has been done properly???

My outlook on buying a project is:

1) Know what the fook your looking at?
2) get it cheap, because without knowledge your not sure what lies beneath.
3) Think about why he is selling it and do you believe him?
