ahh awesome thanks :) my biggest worry is the air suspension. but hopefully outside of that touchwood.

A lot of people seem to have concerns with the EAS

When you view a car exercise the EAS. go all the way up then down then back to normal. does it function as it should? then you'll be fine.. BUT like anything you will need to monitor and watch. When it starts being slow or showing an occasional issue attend to it. its telling you that it has a fault. Dont ignore till it fails. thats what most do, then complain its poor and left them stranded. you wouldn't ignore a misfire so do the same with the EAS as you would the engine and youll be fine

so i checked the mot history and the engine management lights been on for a few of the mots so chances are its just the lpg system out of whack and in need of a service. But I am taking a OBD scanner with me to make sure

I thought with any warning light on for mot it's a fail so going back to lpg did they turn it to petrol to test if so that's where your problem lies
get it serviced for piece of mind .

oh I defo plan to. I think yes they just turned it back to run on petrol and it runs fine. So it seems the lpg system is crying out for a service.

don't try and sell it to yourself, you've already done that !

If you can borrow a code reader, then do plug it in and read the fault code, or ask the garage to give you the fault code the CEL is triggered by. I could be something as innocuous as, as you say an LPG service, or a duff O2 sensor, or it could be being thrown by something else.

When I bought my L322 I purchased it knowing it needed some love, got it from a dealer at a steal, knowing it needed some time and money throwing at it, but I was into it at a price I could walk away from it for and I have spare cars as back up. I've probably spent a grand so far, water pump, elect water pump, idler pulleys, expansion tank, brakes and discs all round, hub bushes and a few other sundry items. but still I've had a good 5 months trouble free and 5,000 miles. i'm toying with either pulling the LPG system out of it and replacing with something more modern, or rectifying the current install, which was poorly wired. an expense I didn't account for.

caveat emptor !

Ah I had similar issues with my e46 coolant system so I guess it'll be same job again and the brakes and discs as well since they had fallen apart.

Am going to see it on my motorbike so I can't try and buy it there and then :p
