Hi, Please please could I have some advice. My 96 110 - love of my life is about to fail its MOT- I have been quoted by a landy repair garage £700 to £800 for welding in a new rear cross member. Does this seem like I am being taken for a ride???

My local Independent specialist does rear cross-members for £300.

The phrase "You're having a Giraffe mate" springs to mind!!!!!![]()
a noo rear crossmember is about £70 from Paddocks - how many hours is it to replace?
:dwith the right tools and assuming ya don't have to fook about with the bolts (most of mine snapped anyway) i took about 8 hrs 45 cuppas 200 cigs and 8 bruised knuckles or so. On me drive not rushing and i took the whole tub off to make it easier to get at.
