Two problems here

I need to change bulbs and also lubricate the mechanism.

Penetrating oil keeps the handle working for a day, but not permanently. Seen quite a bit about spraying in there to free it off.

And how do I get those lights out, screws out and just will not drop out!!!!

Nothing in the workshop manual I have, and not sure where my Haynes one is!

Sounds like ur door lock actuator is on the way out. best to change it before you need an angle grinder to open the door.

Whilst youve got the door card off you could remove the outside handle to get to the lights but the lenses will just be held in by corrosion no doubt gentle persuasion with a screwdriver should loosen then if you have the screws out

Number plate lights. There are two separate bulbholders for these lights, just undo the two screws for each. You might need a small screwdriver to use as a lever to break the seal to pop out the plastic lens.:

For the rear door lock system, the first thing to check is the external bits behind the black cover. Use a small screwdriver to pop out the green oval badge from in the little black surround to gain access to the lever and handle.
I use spray grease once I've got it all nice and loose.
If you've got to work on the internals which is where most of the latch system is located, then it's off with the door card.

OK I have managed to extract the dead bulb but the other no luck at the moment.

Currently got the badge off asnd pushing it back before it has time to stick.

AS soon as I have a warm day I will sort it properly

Those two festoon bulbs over the number plate are particularly prone to failure in my opinion because of the length of the filament being subject to vibration.
I felt that they were favourite for changing to LED type festoons. LEDs are more robust than long filaments.

To get the whole assembly off the tailgate you need to remove the inner door trim and remove the retaining screws from inside, undo the manual locking button before getting the trim off.

Hopefully all will hold on until warmer weather as this year I have lots to do to it.

Is there a step-by-step guide for this anywhere?
Mine works most of the time but does seem to know when I've just purchased a christmas tree, bags of logs etc...

There is but I'm on my phone this weekend and don't have access to it.
I'm sure there is also a write up on RAVE
