Hello everyone,

I've been viewing this site for a while now, and it seems to be full of information.

A small group of us recently created a brand new site dedicated to the Freelander 2/LR2, Freely2addiction.

freely2addiction • Index page

We welcome any new members! I hope I haven't broken the rules by posting this.

Thanks

Hi,

Freel2 is a useful site full of information, but a few other members and I felt unwelcome by existing members on the site. This is why we started Freely2addiction, not to compete with any other sites, just a place for people to share thoughts, ask questions and chat to fellow Freelander owners.

I see! That was JC80s Freely. He is a sponsor on the site and I believe his father owns the company.;)

Why dun't you and yer 58 members to date join landyzone and talk about Freelanders with us rather than setting up yer own forum and trying to poach our members because yer dun't have enough members who want to move with you?

Something to take into consideration: http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/1458182-post24.html

Hi there,

As I have said before, this looks like a really helpful forum, but I don't see the harm in having more than one site for a particular car?

I didn't post this thread to poach members from this site, but to simply raise awareness about ours. Every site needs to start somewhere?

In yer own words:

There's already plenty of forums which support Freelandering. Ere's some I know of:

landyzone
lro
aulro
lr4x4
landrover world
landrovernet

And that's not counting many others around the world. You want yer own forum. Why reinvent the wheel? The more forums we have the smaller they will be. Less knowledgeable too. Why not join ours if you don't like the way other forums are run. There's no point starting another.

Didn't post to poach members? What is it exactly that you hoped for then?

'Hi I've started a new forum and hope you'll all ignore it.....'

Oh yes, I especially like the bit about hoping you're not breaking any rules but can't be bothered to ask beforehand :mad:
