Hello,

I am a new Freelander 2 owner, I have purchased a 2010 HSE TD4 e.

I really like it other than the electric seat on the drivers side, the back when fully forward is still leaning back too far for my liking. I like to sit quite upright, how it is now my side view is the B pillar. The passenger seat back goes much further forward almost past upright.

Is anyone aware of this and I assume I need to adjust the motor switch some how that stops it moving forward ? Any advice please.

Thanks Colin.

Sounds like it's faulty. Mine both my front seats have the same range of movement. However I prefer my seat reclined, as its just more comfortable for my back. It's actually safer in a crash to be slightly reclined, but if you've long legs, that could be difficult to achieve.

You say it won't tilt forwards as far as the passenger side. Does it tilt back more than the passenger side?

I have a freelander td4. Yesterday whilst cleaning I touched the memory numbers which are set from the previous owner. Since then the seat won’t tilt forward by pressing the tilt button but will go forward if I press the memory button that’s preset. This position is still tilted to far back.

Check to see if the buttons are stuck pressed down. Check the wiring under the seat.
