Just been having a scan through the Jan issue of LRO and came across what seemed like an interesting article entitled "The Half Million Mile 110". They're claiming that this blokes 110 has done 500, 000 miles but there's a bit of a cock up in my opinion. First, and not surprisingly it's had three different engines, a new back axle, numerous bodywork changes etc etc, not unusual for a 110 from the eighties. Problem is about ten years ago he's also replaced the chassis with one from a crash damaged 110 that he obtained second hand, repaired and had galvanised. Now if it had been a new chassis this would have been fine, however what he's actually done is created a ringer, which should probably be on a Q plate, and definitely not still on his original registration. Half a million mile 110 my arse. Wonder if the DVLA read LRO?
