I can't decide to wire spot lights up to come on with main beam or on seperately. Or if any knows how both might be good !!!! How have you got yours wired....

That makes sense ...my only thought is that if I have them on a seperate switch and they are on it would mean flicking a switch and turning main beam off to avoid blinding someone .

Spent hours looking at relay wiring would 3 pos switch require 2 relays 1 for m/ beam and one without ....

You supply the switch with a supply from somewhere depending on whether you want the lights to only come on with ignition or not
One feed from the switch to a relay that is switched by the full beam then to a relay for the power feed to the spotlights.
Second feed from the switch bypasses the full beam relay and goes directly to the spot light relay.

got mine wired up so they come on when I put my headlights on full beam. I thought about wiring them up so they could also come on separately but only really use them for dark country lanes, so coming on with the full beam is good enough for now

I've got my Driving lights wired with the main beam but with a switch to turn them off. My roof lights are on a seperate switch

Thanks for all ideas just bought 2 40amp relays and a 3/way toggle switch going to wire as dogsbody suggests then I can have them either with main beam or switch if it all goes to plan will hopefully try them tonight ....
