the L322 system is a bit out of my experience, but when my sat nav puter needed replacing it was plug in and go..

on the P38 the sat nav and audio is part and parcel of the ICE system, so if one part takes a dump it can screw the whole system.. if you unplug the sat nat puter you should still get audio (it works like this on the P38) but if the sat puter is screwy and connected it can interfere with the whole system.

as for resetting it, when you power the system up it should all function and the nat puter locates itself through the GPS reciever and takes the data from the cd/dvd to establish where it is..

when you say.. you've lost audio and sat nav does the audio power up by no sound or is it all just dead like it has no power ?
again reverting to my P38 experience, there is an amp that sits behind the sub, and if that gets fried you'll get power to the system but no sound...

questions questions...

if the flash memory has gone you are stuffed.

yeah.. that's the kicker.. if the battery is disconnected without the system powering down fully or the puter is disconnected without powering down it *will* wipe the flash memory.. i did have a guy in europe who reprogrammed the flash memory but he seems to have disappeared off teh face of the planet these days..

i dont know if anyone on forum knows anyone that can reprogram the flash memory on these puters at the moment, if not its a case of buying on the weel known auction site.. you can upto 250 for a replacement.. i got mine from a supplier in the USA for 115 plus 15 shipping.. the only downside to it is that the emergency number is 911 not 999, but i can live with that.

right iv got the nav unit off and in the house, should atemp to strip it down a bit?

IIRCC the lid comes off easily.. might as well pop it off to let it dry out.

NB: if it does need reprogramming let me know, the guy i used to re-flash repair is still about.

yep.. water and electronic circuitry dont play well together.

you , may want to dry it out on its side with a bit of luck and the gods smiling down on you, it *may* be recoverable
