Loss of power going up steep hills and banks

Hi guys I'm Steve. I've got a 300 tdi d90.
The problem is when I cum to steep banks or hills it losses power and sum times stalls, I've got to give it big licks to get it to go and still even sumtimes it just don't want to play. Really need sum help with this guys cus it's starting fook me off. Thanks

When did it last have new oils and filters? When was the sedimenter last cleaned? Have you checked your turbo hoses for signs of splitting or de-laminating? Is there any smoke from the exhaust when it happens?

I did the oils when's is got it and the filters. But I've not heard about the sedimenter ? What is this and were wud I find it ? Pipes r fine there fairly new silicone 1s. And to be fare I've not noticed if it smokes. But if it did it can't be a lot or wud c it in the mirror. Thanks Steve.

Ok but what is it ? Ive never been told about 1 of these ?

It looks just like a early series diesel filter but is actually a water, **** remover that should drained every now and then, the tdi discos have them but no one ever drains them ever, and when someone does the little plastic drain bit snaps off.
Fitted to trucks at work and they do work some have amazing amounts of crap come out of them, mainly water.

fuel filter engine bay, drivers side at the front - looks sort of like an oil filter

So is it befor the fuel filter or after it ? Sorry still getting to no the engine bay. Thanks Steve
