I have recently bought a new (to me) 1998 4.6 HSE P38, The problem I have with it is it didn't come with any locking nut key.
the caps have been taken off and they have rusted over.
I have heard of a removal tool made by Irwin and others but am not sure if they would fit the large 27mm nuts. please could someone post a link or direct me to the right ones.
Cheers Chaps.

It's a shame you don't have the code from the lock nuts. Be pretty easy to match at the dealers or even Ebay.

Or failing that im sure a lr garage will have a set or at least most locking keys
Catch on of the macanics (younger ones seam less of a jobsworth) and bung him a few quid to wip them off
I did it with a vectra the shop wanted £100 i told him to take a jump and on the way out i caught one of the lads having a ciggi and told him my problem he said bring it round back at dinner and ill sort it for £20

Have you tried a chisel and hammer, I recently removed a few like that. Just depends if you can get into it or not.

Thanks for your responses, I will try to get them off this weekend, using the hammer & socket
/ cold chisel / brute force method. If this fails I'll try and get the Irwin locking wheel nut removers,
If I can find a 27mm one.
The locking wheel nuts are this type.

I think I'll just take the hammer to Alloy if all else fails, as I don't fancy the long drive to Scotland
and back!!
Again Many Thanks for all your help.

I tried those Irwin Extractor things, too small to fit the Wheel nut in my case (L322)....

The Dynomec Tool is awesome, there are copies available on the Bay, but unlike the Dynomec they are not Guaranteed for life nor to remove all nuts with 100% success.

Only other option but it might wreck the alloy is to try to weld a nut on the end of it and undo it with that. That would be my last option tho.

Suitable twelve point socket knocked onto locking nut and remove with wrenching bar. Works every time never been known to fail. Mind you keep **** sockets will just split. So you need a good one.
