Hi everyone.

After some advice and help.

The wifes Range rover seems to have developed a problem with the air suspension. No warnings on dash but the suspension will not go from low mode to normal or off road mode by selecting the switch on the dash. It will flash and tell you that you have requested it but not pump it up. I think i can hear the compressor running in the boot.

It will eventually go into normal mode whilst driving for a while, a good 15 minutes or so and will go into low mode if requested.

I understand that it may well need plugging in so if anyone has the equipment local to me (im in frimley) il sort out beer tokens and lots of tea!

I will have a bit more of an investigate and crawl under it when im off work. i suspect it maybe a level sensor. I cannot hear or see any bubbles around the air springs so i dont think its leaking air. Not had much to do with the car yet as we haven't owned it that long.

Thanks in advance

Martin

Hi mate, i used to have a 04 td6 L322, it was bugged with suspencion problems, it will have to be reset like you said, but on to try first is there is a reset thet involves setting the car stering wheel straight and then starting the car turn the wheel from from one full lock to another then put it back in the middle and turn off the car?
it might work i was told this but it didnt work on mine. the only way i stopped suspenion problems was i had a freind who workd for LR and he uploaded 2009 software into my 04 plate and never had the problem ever again
hope it works for you mate good luck

If it was a P38 I'd say that your compressor's shagged, in fact I will say it - I would suspect your compressor.
The switch is working, the electronics are responding, it's just taking a long time to get there. So either your compressor isn't supplying enough air or the air it's supplying is leaking out somewehere.

I would tend to agree, but I'm surprised it's not showing a fault if so.

Thanks for replys it is appreciated.

Sorry for delay in responding.

Im leaning that way too. I checked the pressure valve by the compressor to check it wasn't blocked, no worries there.

I dont suppose there is a way to check the compressor? Its running i know that much but maybe if it is worn its just hanging in there and eventually raising the suspension.

Still no warnings on dash.
