Info needed.

Can anyone offer me any info on American spec LHD Disco 2s.

There is one for sale near me on my local F/book pages and it looks tidy in the photos.

Here's the thing it is listed as a 3100cc 144bhp petrol and he says it is a V8.
I have never heard of one any one know if that is correct.
A search on Google found nothing.

The figures correspond more to an Essex V6..

The seller says its stock and it is listed as 3100cc on Govt website when I checked out of tax.
I think the seller is just going off the docs but it would not be unusual for an import to be logged incorrectly.

As for Essex V6 that would be 3.0lt unless it was a 3.1RS spec but its highly unlikely that anyone would fit that in a 2004 Disco 2.
I would have thought 4.0 V8 with more kit for emission for the states just checking see if anyone knows better.
I just don't think the seller has a clue.

Have you checked it on insurance? They might know a few things about it.
