Have you checked fluid level ?

Is the pump making a noise, or is it coming from some other part of the steering?
It’s seems to be from the back of the engine, is thier anything else it could be ? I’m taking it to my local mechanic tommorow to take a look, but the power steering fluid level was extremely low hence why I think it’s the pump

The rack is at the back of the engine, bolted to the bulkhead. It's not unheard of for the rack bolts to become slightly loose, which can create creeks as the steering is turned.

Thx for the info, i went to check the power steering reseviour today, and its full on small bubble ? does that mean a leak and not the pump o_O, think i will hold off and see what the mechanic says tommorow hopefully he will have a better idea than me

If the fluid was low, then it's very possible it's drawn in air, which will take many drive cycles to come out completely.

Thankyou nodge for the reply hopefully it is still save to drive it like this as I need to drive it to the mechanic tomorrow, and yes fluid level was really low

If the fluid was very low, then it has a leak which needs investigating.
