So guys, new to this, have a defender 110 , 14 year
I have no a/c and heater blows hot all the time, even when on cold.
Any ideas guys

So James, looks like you know your stuff, where the cable connects to heater box under bonnet, when you turn control to cold in cab, the cable bends rather than pushes the controller on the heater box thus not changing to cold far enough. I would assume this is a new cable guys ????
 
With the clutch it is not going to get that hot so it doesn't really matter. Generally the higher the DOT rating the higher the boiling point. So a higher DOT number in the brake fluid will keep the brakes functional if you're thrashing them on the racetrack. Apart from LHM fluid which is oil based and DOT 5 which is silicone based, most other things are ethylene glycol, so more like anti freeze than oil. Yes, DOT 4 should be fine.
