Changed the potentiometer in my passenger motor on Sunday. Make sure the two arrows on the pot & output gears are lined up as in my photo below.

For the drivers side, if you take the instrument cluster surround off you can see the flap gears through the gap (with torch). Then operate the motors with temp controls & check they move.

You need to check the replacement pot is the same. The ones i got were 90° out no problem but means the arrow also 90° out

Where do we buy these pots? My distribution motor has just gone kaput. Nanocom says it’s stuck at 78%, even if it’s forced….

With genuine or correct equivalent) pot, the arrow is pointing to the output gear when the pot is in the middle of it's travel.

I assumed they are linear pots, but at 50% position, the resistance is roughly 60% / 40%.

Thanks everyone for advice had a chance to look at the old girl today and the fix was quite simple put a screwdriver through the front vent moved the plastic bit inside a touch and its now blowing hot when I pick the screen & middle button and warm on screen when screen & rear button pushed so no more cold night runs in daughters fiat 500 with no heater at all

Love narrow boats, before I moved to France I considered a live aboard.

all the flaps have the slots for the cables, how did the RRC work?
Don’t know about RRC. But the Disco had manual heater controls for temp, fan speed, AND distribution, and all the buttons for A/C etc are there….. How you’d make it talk to a P38 is beyond me I expect. And then you’ve got to mount the thing in place so it looks neat and tidy on top of all that.

I’d still be interested in doing a conversion to manual though!!
