Hey Up Peepz,
Basically looking at buying another P38 Diesel instead of repairing the one we have at present. It works brilliantly apart from it has a 'Chequebook' icon on the Hevac unit.
The worse thing is that there is no air coming through any of the vents no matter what setting you put it on. Any Ideas?
Also how responsive is the hevac dial? It doesnt seem to change the fan speed quick enough but i could be wrong. It seems to have a delay in turning the dial to the fan speed sometimes.
Cheerz in Advance,
Zaff

Fan speed is controlled electronically there is some delay. Answer to your query about no air, blend motors are stuffed more than likely. Is it same on recirculation setting?

Not bought it yet but its the only thing that doesnt work alongside a dim display where it says the mileage etc.

I have heard it is an absolute ball-ache of a job. need to get some prices me thinks.

Display i just a bulb out. What job isn't a ball ache when it's covered by lots of other parts. Very doable though.

I'd be interested what sort of quotes you get. The best I've heard, from an Indy, was £360.
No great surprise that most folk do their own, using all the shortcuts.

Well perspective is that it was 280 for the parts then 160 fitting so not sure if that's a good or bad price?

OEM Blend Motors (All 3) from Island 4x4 lists at £225+VAT so £280 with the VAT is about right for Genuine OEM (Make sure they are OEM for that price....!!!) Sh!tpart List at £119+VAT

£160 for fitting is good....at around £55 an hour thats around 3 hours work...which is good going.!
