most of the work was after having it for 3 months

Was it off the road for that? I was tryna do mine whilst using it for work still, apart from 3 days off to do the boot floor and rear arches and final fuel tank fit.

I bet that cost you some cash? I managed to get me steel from work, shhh!

How much dd you pay for the shed in the first place matey?

Did the brakes over a weekend. Pads were seized to pistons, All bolts were seized. Front discs were siezed to hubs. Rear abs rings were seized into discs, Discs seized to hub. Ended up cutting the discs up with an angle grinder to extract abs rings.

Poly bushes were done in a day. The old ones were absolutely shagged and kinda fell off. Bolts were seized a little though.

Exhaust was done in a couple of hours one evening.

All welding work was done over a couple of monthss. (truck was off road for that time though) Did most of it at nights after work and on the weekends when I didn't have me kids.

Did suspension in a day.

Replaced the tailgate a couple of months ago.
And yes the doors are bloody heavy. Did them on me own.

I have two whole poly bushes on mine lol

How much did you pay for ur truck matey?

Also I added another job today , sikaflexing the sunroof shut as it was leaking like a fecker:D

Hi nice pics should have taken some when I did my sills(inner and outer) and rear body crossmember, I was wondering why you replaced your floor with steel untill I got further through the pics and found out it was already steel as mine is aluminium(must have been replaced by a previous owner) I also had to patch around the fuel filler as you have done.
Much nicer looking welding than me though lol!!!!!!.
Keep up the good work

Got mine back from the anti-rust shop on Saturday last week after having the bulkhead welded, the rear floor replaced and the mahoosive hole in the chassis done.
Cleaned, rustproofed and painted the inside of the of the rear and am just about able to get in the car without getting high from the paint fumes now !!!! Next job is to replace the front end and then rebuild the spare 3.9 and drop that in but am going nowhere near the auto-box till it dies....sills seem to be well protected by brooklands skirts..hooray !!

Impressive! I'd like to do something like that with mine but don't have the space. I've done my share of cill, wheel arch and inner wing patches though not to mention various electrical gremlin hunts and bits of engine work. Heck it's a Range Rover, that's why we love 'em (don't we??)

Ouch, did you know what you were buying? That include the buying?

I paid £625 for mine and feel I was seen off , I recon now I am running at about £1500 including buying it, but I have few spares sat around for that price too, tryna pre-empt the next thing breakin. Just bought A used fuel pump for tenner as I heard theat noise lol

When we looked at the car the only things I found wrong were a couple of small rust holes in the front inner wings. Body work was in good condition apart from a small amount of rust on the upper tailgate and a small dent on the rear near side light panel.

Bloody sills had the plastic covers on. Underneath looked quite sound. (underseal by the gallon hides a lot I suppose) It wasnt until I started doing the work that I came across the rest of the problems.

Anyone got a bridge they want to sell lol.

Thanks mate, it was my first ever welding job, one of the guys at work showed me how. Sure was different welding a rusty car compared to nice new steel on a bench!

I think the earlier ones were ally, was a better idea too!
