Seen them Gators they seem a right faff on to fit, will give them a miss, and hope the diff oil doesn't start seeping out when I finally get it all back together.

It's a shame he didn't oil them up.
Ideally a light skin on a lathe, in order to keep them true. You could try carefully and evenly taking the thick off with some emery paper on a small flat former and let the pads do the rest.
EDIT
Probably a former the depth of a pad and long enough to do a full tangent across the face. That way, as you worked your way around, you'd stand the best chance of maintaining a flat and true face.

Might give it a go don't want to put new ones on again and leave sitting for a long while.

Do yourself a favour, these are the front hubs you are rebuilding, buy genuine/OEM parts, Go to LRSeries or LRDirect and get the right bits, Paddocks/Craddocks may as well be crack dealers! You will be buying the same bits off them again this time next month!
I did mine with OEM from LRSeries and it cost very little considering what I bought.

unfortunately they often are on obsolete parts,orgininal company now just a badge,but some stuff like rtc3429g is timken so is a decent real genuine part

You mean Corteco? I would fully trust a Corteco sourced part than a Britpart sourced part, Britpart supply cheap parts that simply cannot be the same quality.

britpart sell corteco and other decent brands as well as pattern ,they have 2 swivel kits pattern and a decent g suffix one
