freelander 1 roof rails

hi
I ve just bought a 3 door freelander 1 td4 and I m looking to extend the roof rails because there not long enough for my kayaks (they hang over the back to far) is there any way of extending then so they go from front to back ratherer than mid way to back
not sure if there is any kind of kit out there or longer rails

Welcome to the forum.

Unfortunately, as far as standard kit goes, that's all there is. You could maybe buy a custom roof rack which would be longer, but not sure how the weight would bear at the front unless it had supports.

Might be worth googling images of the g4 freelanders as I'm pretty sure they carried amongst other things a kayak.

Hi Kevin, post this in the freelander section, someone may know of a solution. I've not had an issue with my kayak, it over hangs a little bit, not to much though. I'll post pics tomorrow if I remember. Introduce yourself in the intro section as well mate.
