Hi,

This has probably been suggested or even done before but I was wondering if anyone fancied a Landy Zone forum meet or even a caravanning/camping weekend perhaps with an off road course or greenlaning expedition for those who fancy it?

Let me know what you think

I have a flat field suitable for caravan rallies, but it is not brilliant for camping (no toilets/showers) unless we hire a portaloo. There's plenty of space and its staggering distance from the pub. Have had several Landie caravan rallies here before including the Range Rover Register and SADLRC. Typically, they have used this as a base to go green laning on Salisbury Plain on a Saturday, and then to a local P&P site on Sunday.
Picture shows the rally field (although this one obviously wasn't landie owners)
BTW - location is near Fordingbridge , Hants/Dorset border

Happy to host a Landyzone meet

Its camping mate, When I went in Wales, I was staggered to find there were washing up facilities on well established campsites, actually saw it just after id finished boiling up the water in the back of the landie, washed the dishes and was on the way to the bogs!

Im sure a toiletless night will be fine. The field looks brilliant.

No matter where the location someone will moan it's not near them.

Why not look at it in a different light... Yes it will be a long drive, but there will be (assumingly) dirt cheap / free camping - a great opperturnity to play on Sailsbury plain and meet up with a load of Landie people...

I'd be up for it as long as there was enough notice to arrange leaving work early on the Friday :) - could always arrange a convoy train down the motorway collecting people en route :)

I'd defo be up for it, doesn't matter what distance it is it's just part of the fun, would love to have a go on Salisbury plains and it would also give us an excuse to visit the doris's family in Charmouth.

Sounds like it could be a dooable weekend then. The next question is when would people like it i'm happy whenever but then the Tin Tent has heating. Later next year would be better for those camping I would imagine but if the weathers not as good then the Greenlaning could be better :).

Hi
As i'm a newbie i love the idea of this and would be a great way to meet some people
em

I'd be up for it for sure! Never been to the Salisbury plains, would definitely like a chance to see it/drive it and to meet some LZ bods. :) Might be able to kip in the 'fender if only two of us come up...

How about the 30th April / 1st May weekend giving people the 2nd May bank holiday to recover / see family etc. and not involving the Easter bank holiday weekend which is popular for family holidays

I agree with Mike ...... next year would be better... that way peeps have enough time to sort out everythin they need to... that way more peeps will be able to make it .. and if there is a big field for us all to go on....... then you could be talkin alot of members. :)

A weekend away sounds great........meet some of the guys one here, and just chat Landy.....:D:D:D.

I got a tin tent as well, so any time for me, so toilets not a prob from me but a small charge for the weekend to cover portaloos, I dont think is too much to ask, that could also keep the clean for the weekend.....somthing that is too oftern forgoten.

Just one idea, perhaps a local band for the Sat night, bring your own chairs and a BBQ......if weathers good...again this could be covered by a small charge.

Does it have to be a bank holiday, loads of families use bank holidays as a time to do somthing more the shoping on a saturday....
