Hi all think the real question now is do we want a normal weekend or a bank holiday? I know we can't suit everyone but going to give it a go. If it works great if it doesn't well then a few of us will have a weekend of Landrovers, Mud and a few beers so nothing to loose!

Christ ain't you a jovial one! :mad::doh::doh::doh:

You've said it twice now, and nobody gave a s**t -- now are you going to keep ****ing on the bonfire or shove off?

Well I live fckin miles away but funds allowing would love to meet up with you lot, I'd probably turn it into a family holiday, but if I get to go on the plain's I ain't bothered:)

Well then mate, tell me what good it does to post horse **** like that? If you want to make it work, surely being positive about it might help???

Ok, looks like we have some serious interest, (and thanks to everyone for the PM's on this).

As I said before, I have hosted many rallies here before. I'm hoping to meet up with Series71 , and we'll make a plan. Of course it won't suit everyone, but we need to put some stakes in the ground.

Easter is quite late this next year - 24th April

Unfortunately we already have another rally booked in from 28th April to 2nd May 2010 - so that Bank holiday weekend is out.

I'm thinking one weekend in early April might be good?

Fee for rallies is £5 per pitch per night (caravan or tent irrespective of size and number of occupants) This keeps it 'simples'. I think if anyone is serious about coming then they would be happy to send a deposit cheque in return for a gauranteed pitch, and I'll send them a confirmation and receipt. I'll have to limit the number pitches to about 25.

We don't allow dogs.

If someone can get hold of a small marquee this would be ideal for socialising/drinking/meeting/ showing dvd's photos etc. I have a couple of electric hook ups on the rally field - ideal for the marquee or battery charging etc.

I'm happy if someone wants to organise a bbq.

I can build a big camp fire, (great to sit round and drink beer when its dark/cold)

Any other constructive suggestions welcomed :)

Because there is far to many people on here that like to say yeah lets do this, lets do that, then when it comes down to the day they drop out so i was just making a valid point really.
But i think as a large forum like ourselves we should do more to get everyone together during the year so im all for this to come off. I also think that if we paid a subsription fee yearly to LZ then that money could go towards a xmas bash or summer ball, somewher in the centre of the uk buts thats just another idea.

Ok fair enough... I see what you mean. Did seem like an attempt to **** on the bonfire though.

I think once we 'get some stakes in the ground' as Deranged said, and we can get some names down, we will be able to see how many people initially are serious about attending and making it happen. Where there's a will there's a way! :)

I've been involved in a motorbike club and the problems are
1) Everyone agrees and drops out.
2) People expect it provided for them and won't be involved.

You need to load the meeting in your favour, ie
1) either run it as we are going to and will meet you there.
2) Money where your mouth is and set 3 dates- when fund reaches required level=go

And that would be the birth of the limp wristed forum's that most of us on LZ avoid, having said that I agree that a central UK LZ meet would be fantastic. (not just down sarf!!)
